Secret Mission Impossible Theme Party Ideas for Kids and Adults

Want to hear a secret? Mission Impossible is all the rage. Ever since the Mission Impossible series of movies, the secret agent genre has seen a revival. James Bond had become dead and dull, no one had thought of making Frederick Forsythe's Bourne series into movies yet and there was no action in the secret agent game. But ever since Tom Cruise toned up and put on a wireless headset, a tight black tee and slick smile, secret agent movies are everywhere. Spies never had it so good. And people love it - for teenagers and adults, the secret agent Mission Impossible lifestyle is the definition of cool.

For your Secret Mission Impossible party, make sure you get everyone to wear ultra-fitted clothes - tight long pants or pencil skirts and fitted shirts or tees for both the men and women. If you go to a spy party, you have to dress the part. Slick back hair or tie it in a simple pony tail. Food should be classy and casual, such as cocktails with little umbrellas and plates of cucumber sandwiches.

MISSIONS TRIPS

Try a party game for your secret Mission Impossible party - invent one or buy one at your department store. Make sure that everyone participates. Invites should be cryptic and give only enough information for your guest to get there. Choose a simple theme like black and white. Play the theme from spy movies as a soundtrack to your party and to stand out as the host, you can even wear dark glasses (as long as you don't trip over something indoors). Use your mobile phone headset to look more like a cool secret agent from Mission Impossible.

If you pull it off well, a Secret Mission Impossible party has the potential to be a great night. It doesn't take much to capture the atmosphere and plan a fantastic party.

Planning a Day Trip For Adults and Children

Whether you are planning a trip in the summer, winter, spring or fall. Day trips are a lot of fun but they do take a bit more planning than a week long vacation. If you are planning a trip with the family then there is more planning involved as opposed to planning a day trip with friends.

Let's say you want to take a day trip to a ski resort for the day. You need to get together your skis, boots, and change of clothes and maybe pack a lunch depending on how far you are from the resort.

MISSIONS TRIPS

A summer day trip could be anything from a day to the beach or a day in the country where you can go hiking or having a picnic. A great day trip if you have kids is a trip to an amusement park. Some place like Six Flags, you need to plan the directions, pack a lunch, bathing suits, camera and a change of clothes for the kids. If you choose a day in the woods, you can pack a picnic, get your hiking boots or if you plan to ride bikes you can take mountain bikes.

Aquariums make great day trips; you can take the kids and pack up for the day. You can spend the day doing the aquarium and seeing all of the animals and shows, the kids will love it. The Zoo is a great day trip too. There are so many animals to see and there are sideshows like the aquarium. The zoo can be very educational for your kids. They will love it.

If you are looking for some adult day fun, then take a day trip to your local casino. If you live near Atlantic City then you should plan a day trip, get your bus ticket so you don't have to drive and enjoy the ride. You get to spend 7 or 8 hours in a casino before coming home, hopefully a winner. Wine tasting is a great day trip for adults. You may need a designated driver or plan on taking a bus tour where you don't have to drive.

There is much you can do in a day trip if you plan out what you want to do and where you want to go. Planning is the key to a great day trip. Sometimes you just need to get away and the perfect way is to take a day trip alone or with the family. It makes a great gift for a boyfriend or girlfriend. Or for a romantic excursion.

Ten Ways To Avoid Summer Boredom (For Kids And Adults)

Summer is just around the corner and that means the kids are home. All day. Every day. So how can we avoid that age-old complaint of "I'M BORED" that resounds through every single home once school is out? I've made a list of ten ways to avoid summer boredom and these activities can be equally fun for both kids and adults.

1) Have A Garage Sale. If your home is like many, filled with unused toys, outgrown clothes, dust accumulating trinkets and things, then it's about time to have a garage sale. Sorting, organizing, and selling unwanted and unneeded items can be a fun activity for the whole family. Plus you'll end up with a much less cluttered home and maybe even enough money to go out for ice cream afterward!

2) Emerge Into A New Culture. Take the whole summer to learn about another culture. Learn the language, cook the cuisine, and if budget allows, go visit the country. Not only will your little one be a little more refined by the end of the summer, but they'll have so much fun you'll be sure to never hear of boredom.

3) Volunteer. Volunteering can not only build character but it can also be a lot of fun. Whether you're volunteering at a soup kitchen, homeless shelter, animal shelter, big brother or big sister clubs, or camping retreats, this is a boredom proof activity that can benefit all parties involved.

4) Road Trip. Road tripping is awesome. There are so many activities that can be rolled up into one big road trip. Enjoy sightseeing, traveling, nature, tourist spots, or even visiting family and friends in another city or state along the way.

5) Join A Sports League. Summer sports are a great way to keep your out of school kids busy during the summer. Not only will they be occupied by practices and game days, but they can meet new friends while at it!

6) Join A Boys/Girls Scouts. These kids club do a great job of keeping your kids busy with fun-filled activities and it takes away the thought process on your part so you don't have to think up of fun ways to keep the kids occupied. Best of all, parents and adults can also be involved!

7) Go Backyard Camping. This activity is not only fun, but is also easy on the wallet. Just take a tent, a couple of sleeping bags, a small fire pit, some sticks, hot dogs, hot dog buns, marshmallows, chocolate bars, graham crackers, and head on to your (or someone you know)backyard. It can be a nightly event...that is if you don't get tired of hot dogs and S'mores.

8) Cooking Lessons. You and your kid could enroll in a formal cooking class or if you're somewhat of a chef, then you can teach them how to whip up some classic recipes in the comfort of your own kitchen. Cooking can be very educational as well as fun for the kids. You never know, by the end of the summer they may be the ones preparing dinner!

9) Mission Trips. A lot of organizations and churches organize mission trips to different countries. While on a mission trip, you and your child can participate in a lot of good will philanthropy. Build houses for the less fortunate, aid victims of a natural disaster, feed the hungry, clothe and shelter the poor. It would definitely be a memorable summer for everyone.

10) Send Them Away. Yes this advice is a little more like the short cut route, but still can work very well in regards to not having to hear "I'M BORED" throughout summer vacation. Send your children to their grandparent's or a relative's for the summer. Now your child's boredom is their problem!

Hopefully these suggestions can help you and your kids avoid summer boredom. Now go and start having fun!
